A Theology of the Hymns in Revelation

The worshiping community can benefit from an examination of the rich theology of Revelation’s hymns, which display the strong influence of Israel’s Scriptures and often a satirical reflection of the imperial cult as well. Biblical in content, the hymns are directed at the throne of God and of the Lamb, telling the story of their victory and welcoming all who desire to attend the throne.
